I was invited to submit a poster for And A Half’s Kontra COVID Campaign last 2020. Taking inspiration from old Filipino talisman designs, I created my own poster for protection against COVID.

Gumagamit tayo ng mga orasyon, ritwal, agimat at anting-anting laban sa mga masasamang elemento. Ang Modernong Ritwal Kontra COVID ay nagsisilbi bilang makabagong paalala bago lumabas ng bahay. Huwag kalimutan ang face mask, ID Pass, at alcohol. Dumistansiya sa ibang tao. Pahabain ang pasensiya. At higit sa lahat, pairalin ang malasakit sa kapwa. Malalampasan lang natin ang pandemiya kung tayo’y magtutulungan.
Filipinos traditionally have rituals and talismans against evil. This Modern Ritual Against COVID serves as a safety reminder before leaving the house. Don’t forget you face mask, ID pass, and alcohol. Observe social distancing. Be more patient with others. Most importantly, practice Malasakit – empathize and be kind to other people. We can only get through this Together.
Experimented on making the cardboard packaging into a foldable stand. Also tried out some different combinations for the packaging materials.
